Pakistan and France have expressed serious concern over violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon, stressing the need for its full implementation to maintain regional stability.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot.

During the call, the French foreign minister appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in promoting and supporting the ceasefire. He also expressed support for Pakistan’s constructive role in fostering peace and stability in the region.

Both leaders voiced concern over the ongoing violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon and emphasized the importance of ensuring its full implementation and respect by all parties involved. They agreed that maintaining the ceasefire is essential to prevent further escalation and humanitarian consequences.

The two foreign ministers also discussed bilateral relations between Pakistan and France, reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in various sectors. They expressed a shared desire to enhance trade and economic collaboration between the two countries.

In addition, both sides agreed to maintain close coordination and continue diplomatic engagement on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The discussion reflects growing international concern over the fragile situation in Lebanon and highlights the importance of coordinated diplomatic efforts to sustain peace.
